Dr. Lerner grew up on Long Island, NY. She graduated from Ursinus College with highest honors in their pre-med program. She continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine where she obtained her VMD in 1988. Dr. Lerner and her husband, Lee, opened Just for Cats in November of 1999, becoming Delaware County’s first feline exclusive veterinary practice. Dr. Lerner enjoys all aspects of feline medicine but has a special interest in dentistry, internal medicine, and providing end of life support for the pet and family. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Lee and their son, Taylor. They share their home with their their cats- Cappy, Tony, and Merlin.
