Certified Veterinary Technician
Sandra has been with Just for Cats since April 2006. She fills many roles here including managing the team and office, as well as being the lead technician. Sandra’s professional interests include the human-animal bond, nutrition, and making veterinary visits less stressful. She has achieved the highest level of Fear Free education as an Elite member, demonstrating her dedication to making veterinary visits as comfortable as possible for our patients. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and has experience facilitating pet loss support groups.
Sandra is a Certified Veterinary Technician, which means she has graduated from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program and is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. This allows her to perform more advanced nursing skills and tasks independently. She shares her home with her two inseparable cats, Chiku, and Déjà Vu.
Veterinary Technician Student
Jean started working at Just for Cats in June 2018. She has an associates degree in math/natural science from Delaware County Community College. She is currently studying veterinary technology at Penn Foster College.
Before joining the JFC team, she worked at a mixed practice for three years. You can find her assisting in exam rooms, but she also enjoys the behind the scenes work, such as monitoring anesthesia and lab testing. Jean is Low Stress Handling® Silver Certified and Fear Free Certified.
She shares her home with her three cats; Becky, Oliver and Arthur. She also has two dogs, Elsa and Josie.
Terri originally jumped in as a temporary worker when another staff member was on leave several years ago. As time went by, she grew to love her position and decided to stay on long term. Terri can be found at the front desk with a smile on her face ready to help.
Sam has been with Just for Cats since March 2019. She has a bachelor’s degree in acting and a minor in stage management from Oklahoma City University. Sam is originally from Houston, but she moved to Delaware County to pursue theatre in and around Philadelphia.
Although her background is in theatre, Sam became interested in working at a feline veterinary practice after the experience of caring for her own cat who had kidney failure. She currently has a cat named Jenny, who was abandoned at Just for Cats, but is now a very loved and spoiled kitty.
Angelica joined Just for Cats in May of 2019. She is currently a student at Temple University and is studying to become an art director in the field of advertising. She loves to travel and draw.
Angelica can be found assisting with patients, X-Rays, lab testing and administrative work. She has one very bossy and spoiled cat named Samara.
Miruna joined Just for Cats in summer of 2021. She is currently a sophomore in high school. She is very interested in veterinary medicine and plans to go to school to become a veterinarian after she graduates high school.
Miruna is very flexible and interested in learning everything she can. She can found assisting all of the other staff members throughout her day.
Miruna has experience fostering kittens, including bottle feeding. She has two very loved cats of her own, Bilu and Nova.
Mia joined Just for Cats in October of 2021. She has previous experience working with horses. She has always had a deep interest in working with all animals and a special place in her heart for cats.
Mia has a long term goal of becoming a wildlife veterinarian.
