Just For Cats, the original cat hospital of Delaware County, has been serving families with felines since 1999. Dr. Lerner and her team are committed to meeting your cat's veterinary needs.

We prioritize your cat’s comfort and quality of life, from routine surgeries for kittens to chronic medical support for senior cats. Our facility and tools are specifically tailored with your cat's needs in mind. We implement Fear Free, Low Stress Handling techniques to ensure a positive experience for your cat.

Our Team

Veterinary Technicians

Our Veterinary Technicians are highly qualified and licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. They have graduated from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program and passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE). This enables them to perform advanced nursing skills and tasks independently, ensuring professional care of our patients.

Sandra, LBSW, CVT

Introducing Sandra, our lead technician who has been a part of Just for Cats since April 2006. Sandra holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Widener University and an Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology from Penn Foster.

 

She is passionate about client education, the human-animal bond, nutrition, and reducing stress during veterinary visits. Sandra is a certified Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional and has achieved the highest level of Fear Free education as an Elite member, showcasing her commitment to providing the best care for our patients. She is also Human-Animal Bond certified and has experience facilitating pet loss and grief support groups.

 

When not at work, Sandra enjoys trying new arts and crafts and spending time with her two cats, Déjà Vu and Stitch Jr.

Jean, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician

Meet Jean, a valuable member of the Just for Cats team since June 2018. With two associates degrees in math/natural science and veterinary technology, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice.

Jean is passionate about her work and enjoys both assisting in exam rooms and performing behind-the-scenes tasks such as inducing and monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery and reading lab samples. She is also Low Stress Handling® Silver Certified and Fear Free Certified, ensuring that your furry friends are in good hands.

When she's not at work, Jean spends time with her two cats, Arthur and Wanda, as well as her two dogs, Elsa and Josie.

Tiffany

Veterinary Assistant

Meet Tiffany, a dedicated addition to the Just for Cats team since spring 2023! After her own kitty was diagnosed with diabetes, she became passionate about the medical aspect of cat care. While Tiffany is enrolled in Penn Fosters' Veterinary Assistant Program, she is also gaining valuable hands-on experience by assisting Dr.  Lerner and the technicians. Her duties involve helping with x-rays, holding patients in position for treatments and lab work, and assisting with appointments. Tiffany is also Fear Free Certified!

 

When she's not at work, she loves crocheting cute little creatures. ​Originally from Las Vegas, Tiffany moved to Delaware County in 2020 and has four cats of her own - Bluebell, Pumpkin, Mister, and Padme.​

Sarah

Jr. Assistant

Sarah joined Just for Cats in summer of 2023. She is currently a junior in high school. Her interests include animals and music.​ Sarah makes sure the hospital is kept clean, stocked and ready to go. She also can be found running lab work, drawing up vaccines and assisting the technicians with patient care.​

​

Sarah has 3 cats Chloe, Lilo, and Buddy and also a leopard gecko, Goose.

Jocelyn

Client Service Representative

Jocelyn joined Just for Cats in the Winter of 2024. She has a longtime passion for animal welfare and client service, and loves helping people with their pets. She loves hearing about client’s relationships with their cats, and learning technical medical terminology and procedure. She is integral to keeping our office running smoothly!

 

Jocelyn has a B.S. in Studio Art from Skidmore College, and completed M.S. coursework in Textile Design & Engineering at Philadelphia University.

​

Jocelyn has a small farm where she rescues a variety of animals, with a focus on seniors. She has two cats (McKinley the house cat, and Benjamin the barn cat), two bee hives, two pitbulls (The Weenie and Herman), four horses (Chubbs, Tanqueray, Muffin Man, and Snowy Skies), two pigs (Artemis & Dr. Leo Spaceman D.O.), and a large flock of ducks and chickens protected by Bug the drake and Steve the rooster.

Reagan

Jr. Assistant

Say Hello to Reagan, a high school student who joined Just for Cats the beginning of 2024. 

​

You can find Reagan around the office, always ready to help with various tasks; from drawing up vaccines and running lab work to assisting the doctor and technicians with patient handling. One of her favorite aspects of the job is providing low-stress nursing care by feeding treats to the patients during exams, treatments, or lab work (thank you Churu!).

​

In her free time Reagan likes learning about hair and makeup, and hanging out by the pool in the summer. ​​Reagan has 3 wonderful kitties of her own, Luna, Comet and Charlie.
